Furious Descent exploded onto the west coast of Finland's groove metal battleground, delivering a ferocious assault that rattled the genre's foundations. The Finnish scene, long hailed as one of the fiercest of the '90s, and arguably the best, had met its new heavyweight contender. The original lineup, with Jake (vocals/guitar) and Alex (bass), was soon joined by Stef on lead guitar and Timo on drums, creating a powerhouse that recorded their debut EP, Judgement Day, in the summer of 2023. But just as they were gaining unstoppable momentum, Timo stepped down, forcing a desperate scramble for a new drummer. The next lineup barely made a dent, playing just one gig before collapsing. By summer 2024, Furious Descent had regrouped with Oz on lead guitar and Mike on drums, alongside the unyielding Jake and Alex.
